He was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1970.

From April 1992 to March 1996, he was a member of Perceptual Computing Group, which is a subgroup of Prof. Shirai, Kobayashi and Yamasaki's Group in Waseda University.

From April 1996 to Sep. 2002, he was a research associate at Pattern Information Processing Group, Kyoto Institute of Technology.

Assistant Professor at Sagayama Laboratory, The University of Tokyo.
